Congratulations to Shubham for winning the Best Poster Award in the Students Research Symposium category at the IEEE HiPC 2023 conference, which was held between December 18th and December 21st, 2023, in Goa. Shubham, along with co-authors Vidyesh Dapse and Konduri Aditya, received the award for their work titled “Scaling performance of the asynchronous discontinuous-Galerkin method for compressible Euler equations.”
Aritra Roy Choudhury has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) under the direct entry scheme, in cycle 11.
Priyabrat was selected for the Helmholtz Visiting Research Fellowship. He visited Juelich Supercomputing Center in Juelich (Germany) for a tenure of three months. His visit initiated a collaboration focused on harnessing graph neural networks to accelerate reacting flow simulations.
The Indo-German Conference on Computational Mathematics (IGCM) is a bi-national conference providing an interdisciplinary platform for researchers to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and the challenges in the frontier areas of computational mathematics. The EECS Research symposium is an initiative of the Division of EECS at IISc, which provides a forum for presentations by senior research students.
We have participated in a series of successful outreach activities aimed at sharing our latest research findings with the community. These activities are designed to promote greater scientific literacy and introduce the general audience regarding the studies being carried out by our lab.

The SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering is a biennial conference facilitating in-depth technical discussions on a wide variety of major computational efforts on large-scale problems in science and engineering, foster the interdisciplinary culture required to meet these large-scale challenges, and promote the training of the next generation of computational scientists.
Congratulations to Shubham for receiving Student Travel Awards by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and Office of Development and Alumni Affairs (ODAA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for attending the SIAM Conference of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE23), which was held between February 26th and March 3rd, 2023, at Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
